EtreCheckPro Details

System requirements:

A Macintosh computer running macOS 10.13 “High Sierra” or later. EtreCheckPro fully supports macOS 13 “Ventura”. EtreCheckPro is a universal binary that will run natively on both “Intel” or Apple Silicon processors.

Download:

By default, Safari will automatically expand the download into an executable app that you can just double-click and run. If you have changed your default download settings, you may have to double-click the “EtreCheckPro.zip” file to expand it into an executable file that you can double-click to run.

Installation:

EtreCheck does not need to be installed. You can run it right from your Downloads folder. Of course, you can also drag it into your Applications folder and run it from there.

Uninstall:

To uninstall EtreCheckPro, just drag it to the Trash.

EtreCheckPro saves all generated reports automatically. To delete these, select Previous reports from the File menu. This will open a Finder window showing all previous reports. Drag these files to the Trash to clear this history. If you have purchased the Power User package, EtreCheckPro will save your activation code in your Login Keychain under com.etresoft.EtreCheckPro. Any other files associated with EtreCheckPro will have been created by the operating system itself and should not be deleted.

Changes in EtreCheckPro version 6.8.4:

• Add USB hubs and devices;
• Add submenus to longer pages;
• Add support for Lockdown Mode, Boot Security, and Feature Flags;
• Update Insights to December, 2023;
• Improve security and malware reporting;
• Improve reporting of crash and panic reports;
• Improve handling of notifications; and
• Other bug fixes and improvements.
